I completely support immigration, illegal or not. But that's just me and apparently my view isn't very popular in this particular section.

I'm not against immigration at all. I am against those that don't want to follow the guidelines that are in place and come into this country illegally and then think that we owe them a living. What's even more sickening is our elected officials that side with the illegals.

I'm for it. I'd love to immigrate to Mexico. But guess what?
"Foreigners can legally enter Mexico only through certain points. Anyone who enters Mexico without official permission is a felon, subject to two years in prison then deportation. Visitors, even those who become naturalized citizens, are not allowed to stage demonstrations or voice their opinions in public debates.
"Mexico has strict requirements, admits only certain categories of immigrants, demands volumes of documentation, along with a letter of request from a Mexican employer. Those foreigners who become citizens are prohibited from running for office, serving in the military, working for the police, or entering the clergy. The government can deport anyone at any time for any reason -- or no reason. In fact, Mexico deports far more foreigners than does the United States.
"I'm sure there are plenty of Americans who would be happy to trade Pocatello for Acapulco, but the Mexican government isn't going to allow it."

Incidentally, I'm married to a Puerto Rican, so let's not have any racist accusations here. This is fact.

I'm for legal immigration limited to protect our schools and services.
I am against illegal immigration, because it ruins our schools and services. For the same reason, I am against mass immigration of poor who can't pay their own way in services, even were it made legal. We have reasons for limiting immigration.

If you are speaking about legal immigration, then I, like most Americans, am for it.
If you are talking about ILLEGAL immigration, which is the purposeful breaking of US immigration laws, then I am against it. The Law is the law, if you break it you must be prosecuted.

I'm all for legal immigration, with some serious revamping of immigration process. It's hard to get in legally and too easy to get lost in the system. But at the same time, we let people in legally that shouldn't be here at all- people who have committed serious crimes in their home country or with huge errors and misinformation on their applications. Fraud is also rampant in the legal immigration system.
I sympathize with illegals, but allowing millions to stream in unchecked and unknown is not only potentially dangerous, it is impractical and silly.

I'm all for immigration. It's what the country was founded on.
Just do it legally. Do it illegally and I hope they ship your *** back to whatever country you came from.
