English is a lingua franca, which mean that people use it as a common langauge to communicate to others, even though it is not their first language. There are hundreds of languages in India, so the banks must decide on one language to use in order to be consistent. You should ask for a brochure in your language, or for someone to translate it for you, and if they refuse then maybe you should find a different bank.

That's the good question..

but can you answer me first? you have not written this question in your mother tounge.
अगर आप चाहते तो आसानी से इसको हिन्दी जो कि हमारी राष्ट्रीय भाषा है मे लिख सकते थे।
Remember dear language is not a barrier these days, now time has arrived when we should accept one language as universal language, and I believe english is the widely spoken language then there is no harm adopting it as official as well as legal language.

We should not forget the fact that in India itself English is more widely spoken language than Hindi, Urdu, Malyali, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi or any other regional language.
