Get yourself into a good nutrition plan with lots of fruits and vegetables and no sugary stuff. Exercise for a half hour twice a day. Walk a lot, whenever you can. Climb stairs whenever you can. Don't stop the beta blocker on your own.

You should really talk with your health care provider. More then likely he/she will advise you to start on a strict diet, next to no sodium and plenty of veggies! High blood pressure is serious so make sure you talk any decisions over with your doctor.

a person needs to be weaned off of it with the supervision of their doctor, very dangerous to stop cold turkey...if a person does that once the med has left their system the blood pressure can go back up again

talk to your doctor!!! what you might think and what really is going on can be two totally different things. if that doesnt work move to mexico and keep going to one of their docs until you hear what you want to hear.
