Essentially what happens is that there is an outstanding war rent for the arrest of "someone". The bad news is that you forfeit the entire bail amount. If you are held in contempt for refusal to pay, you can be placed in jail. If you are unable to pay, forgiveness or seized properties are foreseeable consequences.

If you put up all the money with the court, you loose your money, if you paid 10 or 15 percent to the bail bondsmen, you will have to pay them the rest of it, If you don't pay they will sue you in court

you're screwed. why did you bail out someone who is a flight risk? your fault. it depends on what kind of collateral (house, car, etc) you put up as the bond. it is your responsibility to pay the money. you could lose a house, car, etc. next time, don't bail anyone out. you'll learn.

not very smart if they miss their court dat you are responsible for the entire bail amount, & if you dont pay the will first, screw up your credit, then they will seize all your bank accounts, then they will put you in jail, its sickening aint it but that is our system of "justice"

No, but you lose the money you paid and lose the collateral you put up to the bondsman if you used one.

No, but they will take your money. If you signed the bond, you are liable. Your best bet is to help "Dog the bounty Hunter" track down the bum and say "Freeze Sucka!!"
