I usually steal personal items not store items. But I really want to stop. Should I go to a pshycologists?

Registered Nurse here; Congratulations, you get a standing ovation from me. You have identified a problem, theft! You admit it and you want to stop. Great, all positive signs, now you do need help to over come this. I agree with you that yes a psychologist is just what the Doctor ordered. Please don't delay, for if you don't get help, you will wind up in trouble with the law, not to mention the friends you will lose. Please seek that help.
I appreciate the opportunity to address this question.

Steal something useful like a Self Help Book!!!!

Since you are conscious that you are stealing, before you do it, think how important that object is to the owner. If you realize that it is really important, then don't take it since you know it is important.

Try the psychologist first, if that doesn't work maybe try cutting off your hand like they do in some other countries when you are a theif.
