You can find God in this rude, cruel and materialistic world by seeing beyond the rudeness, cruelty and materialism, He sits in the open space of heaven waiting for us all.

Don't look to the world for starters. People have a tendence to disappoint. God gave us His Word so that we might find Him. A suggestion would be to start reading the Bible with the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The world does have some beautiful places and some beautiful people (I'm talking about inside beauty) and it might be possible to find God in Nature but one must seek Him diligently.

All evidence available demonstrates that God has absolutely no interest in revealing himself to the entire world in a clear, incontroversial, perceptible way. He never did that, otherwise we wouldn't have so many religions.
We see people who believe they see God in the stars, in a singing bird, in the smile of a child, etc. But all these statements are individual, based on perception, not reality.
It is very unlikely that he will change his mind in the future.
and yet, it would be such an incredibly easy thing for him to do.

The bible says that you don't choose God,rather He chooses you and 'draws' you in. He got his ways to do just that. And like me,you'll have like minded friends who aren't rude, cruel, and nuts over the love of money. God Bless

Easily, actually.

Where attention goes, power flows. What you focus on becomes more present for you; what you do not focus on becomes part of the background.

I try to focus on the complex beauty and grandeur of the natural world. And I do find the Divine there.

The fact that the world IS rude, cruel and materielistic is proof of that.
