The vietcong were better at recruiting, and probably the people of the south vietnam were weak. Not to mention ARVN had a reputation of putting cowards into the lines who would desert at the first sign of combat. I guess to say, the communists wanted it more.

A BETTER QUESTION IS WHY ARE THE BUDDIST MONKS SETTING THEMSELVES ON FIRE TO PROTEST COMMUNISM AND WHY ISNT IT GETTING ANY PLAY IN THE MEDIA THE WAY IT DID WHEN THEY WERE PROTESTING OUR PRESENCE THERE
