This SAME QUESTION has been asked a KAJILLION times by the same pervert who gets off on typing the question and seeing people try to answer it. It's probably some 50-year-old guy who lives with his MOM and is into BONDAGE or some other crazy crap!!!

I know the feeling! I hate getting blood taken (or needles for that matter!) The best advice I could give to you in your situation is turn your head away from your arm so you're not watching the needle go into your arm. It will also prevent you from "reacting" from watching it happen.

They will probably restrain your arm by strapping it down with some sort of band. It's nothing to feel apprehensive about! It won't hurt to have your arm restrained and if anything, you won't have to go back a 3rd time to get it done!

Good luck! =)

Probably will have your arm straightend with an arm board, a metal and velcro device to keep you arm straight and have your arm kept in place with a strap with velcro. Try to look the other way when they are going to draw the blood. Also today I had patients in the oral surgeons chair wearing an ipod to keep there mind off of what was happening to them. I think that was a GREAT idea.

Your arm will proably be restrained in 2 possible ways.

FIRSTLY. Your arm will be strapped down, on some board. Another nurse, will then hold ur other hand, so you can't block the needle ! lol.

OR. a nurse will hold your arm down. Not sure how though !!!

just relax, and take deep breaths

this question has been on more than one time. They will strap you to a board and stick a sock in your mouth.
