was the phantom of the opera with michael crawford ever recorded to video?i just love the sound track but never saw the show!

I only know of certain scenes that were recorded to video, but it was suppose to be for a movie type thing. Micheal did not contribute to this one, but i think you would be interested. Sarahs in this one. She is definately talented too. But I warn, it is several years old. You might laugh at the very end.. i did.

Not legally. ;-) There are some bootleg video recordings running around (and they're not the greatest quality of course), but there was never a real recording made of it, unfortunately.

The only movie made of the musical was the rather unfortunate 2004 version with Butler (who couldn't sing) and Rossum (who couldn't act). If you love the original, don't bother seeing that travesty.

I don't know, but have you seen the one with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum? It is fantastic!I love the movie! I hope to play Christine one day in a musical!

I certainly hope so, as i too would like to find a copy...the soundtrack is incredible
