Why did the mom lie to the kid? My four year old sister asked me why I dressed up as a fairy for Halloween. This is a really good question, given the fact that I am 28.

Well that's the stupidest answer I've ever heard.
Instead of giving children useless platitudes based on emotion, why not try and give them a SCIENTIFIC explanation?
Or would starting them off on a path based on reality and rational explanations be wrong?
