What is the Migration theory?

No one get mad at me this is for my semester exam and my teacher already said that he would not give us the answers so I am trying to fill out my review sheet. IT IS NOT FOR A GRADE. it is just to help us study.

it is supposed to have something to do with Beringa and the Bering Strait.

It helps find the origin of something (a trait, belief) by finding where on earth that feature is most predominant or contains the oldes version of a trait.

Most likely that (trait, belief) originated from that geographic area. With emphasis on LIKELY. It does not pove anything until there is other corroborating eveidence.
