It's probably not the anesthetic but your body putting all its resources towards healing your wrist. Any major healing saps your energy. Energy expenditure requires rest in order to build up again. Let your body tell you when it's ready to run again. Meanwhile, listen to it now and rest so you can heal. Patience...

It takes roughly about 1 week to get it all out of the body (thats what is average), but everyone is different, I worked in a surgery unit (I'm a nurse) it depends on how sensitive you are to the general anesthetic, there is a couple of things you can do one is take rest and another drink lots of water to help flush it out the system quicker.
Some people don't even feel they have had an anesthetic and are running out the door after a operation for others they can be sick and get headaches but either way it usually catches up with everyone, feeling run down tired and sleepy, take it easy, use it as some relaxing time.......good luck.xx

Most of the newer general anaesthetics are short lived. Usually they say that they run through your system, IE metabolized by the liver with in 48 hours. If you haven't been doing the deep breathing and coughing to eliminate the residue in your lungs you could be developing a pneumonia. Is the surgical sight red or swollen, draining pus, if so you may have an infection and need medical help for either of these complications. Those are reasons you may not feel up to par.

give your self time to recover and time to heal, plenty of time to start running when your feeling like your old self again.
I come to and recovered quickly from my anaesthetic but was annoyed that all the sandwiches had gone and all i had to eat where a couple of digestive biscuits after about 10 hours with no food, and was wondering how many calories were in a pillow

When I had it, it took me a month to get over it. Felt tired and sick and just wanted to lay down all the time. I forgot that the anaesthetic was in by blood stream and your blood renews itself once a month. So you've got another three weeks to go.

I'm going to be honest the effects should have worn off by now. You really need to talk to your doctor. I had a lump removed from my breast and I was out for a few hours but I think that within 2 days I was fine.
