It depends on what sort of staining is on your teeth, if it's intrinsic (ie. on the inside of your teeth) then you can only bleach this out, and you should probably ask your local dentist about the best options.
If the staining is extrinsic,(ie. on the outside), and this can be tea, coffee stains etc. then you may be able to clean the stain off... It can be a tad difficult if you just use a toothbrush, but it is possible. A whitening toothpaste is also helpful. If it doesn't work, go to your dentist.

Any teeth whitening will work. Dentists can make you bleaching trays, or you can do at home bleaching kits (there are several). Of those, I prefer the 7 day Crest Whitestrips, and Night Effects. If you are willing to spend a lot of money, you can do Brite Smile or Zoom whitening, which whitens your teeth in an hour. Accompany these whitening processes with whitening toothpaste and whitening mouthwash.

Try teeth cosmetic products...there's a lot to choose from...not all of them work as well as you'd hope; generally, the more expensive it is priced, the better the quality. Check the oral health aisle of your local grocer or phramacy.
