There is a great interest in vitamin D right now, and researchers suggest that 1/2 of our population is deficient. Do you know how the body uses it and where you can get some?

Vitamin D assists the body in the absorbsion of calcium.
Eat cheese and other dairy products. Also, daily exposure to natural sunlight will help.

A personal note: Those researches should suggest that all Fast Food outlets be closed. How can a country with a Cheese burger and Fries based economy have so many over weight and unhealthy people.

Milk, fish,cheese, mushrooms (especially shiitake) and exposing your skin to sunlight.
Vitamin D helps in the absorption of calcium.

Edit: Mushrooms contain Vitamin D only if they've been exposed to ultraviolet light for a few minutes. Most farmed mushrooms are grown in the dark. Expose store-bought mushrooms to sunlight for 10 minutes just before cooking them to get the vitamin. This was discovered a few months ago.
