By supporting the troops, you're technically supporting the acts of war being committed. What do you think?

I see. We should definitely strive to bring them home.

This is a botched joke.

It's quite possible to believe the troops are being misused and even abused. But to be anti-war, support the troops, and not be an idiot is much more difficult. The Vietnamese experience shows that it's possible to win tactically and lose strategically. With our military, the only way to lose is to say so. Every protest posted on the internet, every "we're losing the war" broadcast in the media encourages the enemy, and is better than a bomb for them. Their fight is primarily against the minds of the American public. But it's the troops that pay most of the price. So write your congressman, but stay off the net, and it can be done.

Yes, I can still support the troops but no I'm not supporting the acts of war, because some of the troops would rather be home. Especially the ones that are dead now.

I am anti-war, and I very much so support our men and women in uniform.. My husband is a soldier and I believe the support of the nation for our troops is what gets our soldiers through it. Even if you dont support war, there is no reason not to support hard working soldiers who risk their lives for you and I . By supporting then you are NOT supporting acts of War, but the individuals who love our country so much they put themselves on the line.

Absolutely. Most of the people who are anti-war want the soldiers to come home safely; what is more supportive than that? How can some people say they are supporting the troops by supporting the war? That is basically asking for more fights and causalities taken by the troops.

Having served in one war, I can tell you, you either support the troops 100% or you don't. If you go out and protest Iraq, then you are slapping American troops in the face. This is an all volunteer military, unlike Viet Nam. All that anti war crap is doing nothing but making the radical Islamics laugh at our stupid media and people who are falling for all this crap.

Whether you believe we should be in Iraq or not, we are and we need to support those folks who, by their actions, are protecting your right to voice your opinion, one way or the other.

Yes. Remember, our troops are citizens just like you and I. We have ALL been miserably, irresponsibly led astray by the worst leadership and the worst intentions ever in the history of the United States of America. You keep a close eye on those kids fighting in that mess over there. I'm so worried about them, that Cheney or Bush will intimidate them into a mercenary situation under threat of abandoning them. This administration is capable of such atrocity. No matter what, though, let's get all of our people home as soon as possible. There's "real" trouble to come, thanks to this administration, and we need to retrench, re-unite, get real and be prepared.

That is what the troops signed up for from the begining, so it's not fair to say supporting them, or not supporting them makes one anti-war, or pro-war. They signed a paper saying if, and when your country goes to war you ARE going to defend it. And here it is!

I believe that you can be against the war but still wish for the safe being of our troops... I hate this war and what it is doing to our country but I also have friends who are overseas right now and I would love nothing more than for them to be home safe and sound where they belong this holiday season and every day for that matter...

I'm anti-war, but I still support them in their time of need. After all, look at Vietnam, the people stopped supporting them, and it became a huge mess. But it didn't stop the war did it?

Not supporting troops actually makes war worse, and therefore would be pro-war.

I think you can be anti war but support the troops because some have no choice to join the army or they are patriotic therefore they do what they have to do but maybe dont agree with it
