Yes, my dear, you were quite rude. It's her car, she'sd letting you ride in it and you do *not* dictate which music she plays. You could have asked her to change the station or the tape but you do NOT demand. You were very rude. I would advise you to apologise to your friend. Blessings.

If I were in a friends car and there was annoying rap music blaring, I'd probably ask if I could turn it waaaaayyyy down. This time of the year it is nearly impossible to avoid Christmas music and your friend probably didn't think anything of it. I wouldn't say that you were rude per se, but maybe a little over zealous on rejecting what you don't believe in.

In my vehicle you would have had a choice, listen to the music or walk. Don't understand your motive for making such a demand. There's a lot of music that's not based on logic would you have demanded for instance "The Unicorn" to be turned off?
Wouldn't say you were rude, just ignorant and not much of a friend.

Have you ever heard of being grateful?
Did you have to walk wherever you were going?
This person also probably helps you in other ways to because she has a heart formed from a loving God
Next time when someone is doing you a favor, try being grateful by listening to what they say or what you hear.
Maybe, if you are not selfish or ignorant, you might learn something new and possible something great that might change your life.
If you are always like this, I suggest you get used to walking a Lot or buying duck tape and putting it over your mouth so you can't possible insult good people when they are helping you.

yeah that was rude. If it's her car then it's her choice what gets played. By the way I'm an atheist but I still find myself singing along to christmas songs (not the religious ones though!)

I wonder if she calls your her "friend". Seems to me, if you are athiest, what does it matter anyway? Does Christmas music offend you because it talks about things you don't believe in? It sounds like you were trying to make a point that you are athiest. I think you may be proud of being an athiest. In your own little way, you were bragging that you don't believe in God, or trying to spark a debate on the subject to prove that she is wrong for believing in God. You probably made yourself look like an *** and brought her respect for you (despite your worldview) down several notches.

Good luck with the athiest thing, you'll need it!

God Bless.

Yes it was rude...especially if you "told her to SHUTITOFF." Next time you might want to ask nicely if you can listen to something else.

I didn't realize that being an atheist was a valid reason to demand something. How would you have felt if she got in your car and demanded you listen to gospel music because she's a Christian?

Yes, you were rude. And this is coming from a non-Christian. It all comes down to respect, and not looking for things to be offended by. If it was truly offensive to you, a simple "Would you mind if we listened to something else?" would be sufficient.

You behaved as though only your feelings are relevant. This is immature and is no way to survive in a diverse society.

Of course you were being rude. If you in some body else car, you can explain that you don't like the music (or anything else) and ASK her to change it.

Dude...I just looked at all of your other questions. Leave us Christians, and people of other faiths, alone. You're going to have to live in a hole until the 26th if you want to escape Christmas. It's a free country, let us express our freedom of religion. You're not making any difference in our beliefs by posting these defaming questions. Give up. You're getting nowhere. Have fun on Judgement Day.
