In other words, do you think that you deserve eternal reward and people who disagree with you deserve eternal punishment?

... doesn't that demonstrate incredible arrogance and intolerance?

You're just a human being. You could be wrong.
And don't tell me that your book can't possibly be wrong.... because other religions try making that exact same claim. It gets old, and juvenile.

You know in my religion, people do think that they are better than other people. And theirs, is the only true religion. I have to admit that sometimes I feel like that too. But it is wrong to do that. It shows I am boasting, about something I don't know that much about. My religion, we need to learn humility. And don't be prideful. Or boastful.
I do not feel I deserve a eternal award. And I don't believe that if people don't agree with me.Deserve eternal punishment. I do not agree. But I know my religion, the people are so prideful. But I realize it's not the religion, it is the people that make it a disgrace. I do admit that I was one of them. I am not now. I read this in some scripture (I don't know where it is) but it say: God will not judge you, what you don't have, but judge you for what you do have.

From a pragmatic point of view you're absolutely correct, However I still think Christianity is superior to other religions, If you disagree with me just read about the miracles performed by Jesus Christ, The Virgin Mary and many other Saints throughout the history and The Virgin Mary' many apparitions, Some of which took place not so long ago and nobody could come up with any scientific explanation for them!

I do not believe that anyone is superior over anyone else, although I do believe in a greater being, whether you would like to call him God, Jehovah, or the great Almighty. I have faith that something greater is out there and has placed us here for a reason, why sometimes I do not know and there are times when I too have great doubt. I feel man has taken the bible and has construed it into their own versions of what they think it should say. They have manipulated it and yes of course, if you go to a baptist church they will tell you if you don't believe as them you will burn in hell and if you go to seventh day they tell you the same. It is all believe like we do or you are condemned to eternal damnation. Ask yourself this though, what is hell? You should believe in a way that brings you peace within yourself and when those false Prophets come around with their holier than thou attitude, your sense of belief in not only yourself but in your greater spirit will help you overlook these people and see them as they truly are. The wolves in sheep's clothing.

Do you think that your religion is better than anyone elses? Because by the sound of what you are saying..."don't tell me that your book can't possibly be wrong"...means that you don't belive and that you think that belivers are just crazy. Setting themselves up to be hurt in the end. But you know it's really up to each individual to belive what they choose. And where we go in the end. Who knows? The only ones who do know are the ones who are there. And you know they aren't going to come back and tell us. So quit bashing people on here because of their religion. If you belive great. If you have a real question then ask it. Just don't be on here saying that some people are juvenile because of their faith...that in itself is juvenile! And you know I am a Christian and proud of it. I am strong in my faith and very unshakeable...But you know there are so many people in this world who call themselves Christians who really aren't. They are the ones who are on here using the words hate and if you don't belive then you are going to hell..and my way is the only way. That's not right..and it never will be. If you want to understand where I'm coming from great. If not that's your own choice. No one can make you a beliver if you don't want to be. So everyone belive what you want to...I just hope and pray that someday you will find the way, the truth, and the light! God Bless and Good luck!

No, I mean really noone knows what's up. We just subscribe to a certain philosophy that we THINK is right. Which is fine as long as you don't try to proselytize to everyone and judge people who feel differently than you.

I feel that the Divine is Polarized into God and Goddess. It makes no difference to me if you feel the same way as long as you don't infringe on my rights or judge me for my personal religious choices.

The great thing about Wicca, there is not Scriptural Doctrine. Our beliefs are based on the evidence in Nature. Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Spirit. That sort of thing. No dogma required. We just agree not to harm others. And the rest is personal lifestyle choices.

No, it is actually the opposite, my religion means that I fess up to my own imperfections, I see that I fall very short of what God had in store for me, and so I have confessed and accepted that I need a Savior because of my sin, Jesus is the bridge to God. I don't deserve eternal reward, nobody does, but Jesus gives it freely, I choose to accept it, those who don't are in the same place as me with their sins but refuse to accept they need a savior, and cannot be accepted into heaven.

If you think it's old and juvenile, why are you commenting on it?

I don't have religion. I have faith. My faith doesn't make me any better than you - it makes me forgiven.
I am not arrogant - I have been given a free gift and I would pray that I can share it with people, not keep it to myself.
I am not intolerant - I am grieving the mutual loss of millions of souls as God is.
I don't deserve eternal reward, but it's been given to me at a cost.
People who disagree with me are entitled to their disagreement, that doesn't make me superior, it makes me sad.

Since human brain chemistry pre-determines a person's entire life, superiority is only created by the luck of the genetic draw. You could be born a genius or an idiot. You don't get a choice.

I'm Christian and a lot of Christians critisize other people on their beliefs, behavior and sexuality. But, I"m not one of those, so no I don't think our religion is superior than others. I don't think we should force our faith in God on others. People believe in what they want, live they way they want, and if we would all take that into consideration, life would be a lot more easier. We all have different purposes in life, and trying to control someone else's shouldn't be one. We are all one body of people!

I am just a wayfaring pilgrim who happens to believe that God is great and that God is good. I do not believe that I am superior to anyone, but I do believe that God is superior to everyone and every thing.

And you're absolutely right. I could be wrong. But I'm willing to take that chance.
