I am looking for a small dog (miniature is ok, toy is too small) that wont shed, is good with kids, and is good with other dogs and cats. please help.

You should research the many different breeds and find one that will work out best in your family. My favorite is the miniature dachshund the shortcoated shed very little and their hair is the size of an eyelash, they also do not have doggy odor. They are very energetic but are just as happy to cuddle on your lap.

i know you said toy is too small but you should try a shih tzu they are really good with kids, dont get big, and they have human-like hair so they dont shed really and dont loose pet dander that some people are allergic too. They are also very good with other pets. why is toy too small btw.

All dogs shed. You can try a short breed dog to make it seem like there isn't shedding going on. Mini pincher, Chihuahua, small poodle, manchester terrior

all dogs shed u might want to get a dog who doesnt shed as much a dachsund or a chinese crest will be best from my experience

Basset Hounds are perfect for all your needs. They are so lovable and despite how they look can be very energetic.
