I paid 5 dollars for One picture with Santa... It was at my Sons school. It was going to be today.. My son got up this morning soooo excited that he was going to see santa... And Im excited for him.

When he came home I asked him about it... He replied angrily, " Santa wasnt real! It was a girl santa! It was fake !" WTH? I called the school and asked if this was some sick joke and now my son is questioning santa, and he thinks im a lier now.. what are they thinking? Do you think this was wrong? I asked for a refund, but I just cant get over that b/c they couldnt find a santa, they still took the parents money instead of Postponing it like they should have. I called up there and everything, they dont care! they never care.

My 4 year old goes to Child Development... like preschool for those wanting to know. And yes, I know Santa is a Lie anyway, but I loved the whole Santa Imagination Stuff when I was little, and when I found out that he wasnt real I didnt get mad, I just thought it was so cool that my Mom did all that for me and to see me happy. I understand others dont "do" santa, and that is fine, i dont think there is a wrong or a right in the Santa Business... All Parents are different... so I guess all I need is advice from the parents who think like me. Thanks everybody

That was just wrong. You should take your son to the mall or something and let him see a real santa claus. Maybe that would help him cope with the let down.

As for the school, other than asking for a refund I don't know if there is anything you can do. For most people switching schools is not an option, so you are just going to have to make it up or explain it someway to your son

GOOD LUCK!!

Wow! I think you have every right to be upset with the school and I would demand to talk to someone about this issue. I'm sure that you're not the only one who is upset. Letting your child believe in Santa doesn't make you a liar. There was a Santa once upon a time and it's a tradition that can make for very fond memories for you child. I'm surprised that the school even had a Santa based on the fact that many know call it the Winter Break rather than Christmas because not everyone celebrates it. I think you should either write or talk with someone in charge so that this doesn't happen again. Whoever made this decision made a very poor judgement. Kids grow up so fast these days as it is!

As for your little boy I wouldn't take Santa away from him, maybe like others have said just explain that Santa has helpers. I would even maybe "mail" a letter to him from Santa explaining the mistake.

lol that's funny here is what you do go to

http://www.noradsanta.org/en/santa.php

this site was made for this problem and it has so many other cool thing he can read there you should visit it with him and if you watch the site after santa takes off he can watch the radar track santa's every move and watch him go all over the world if you have a problem with this site email me or just search the santa tracker it's the norad site it came up number 1 for me so you should not have any more problems with santa or anything else if you need any other proof that anything else exsit i have something for everything tooth fairy easter bunny everything

here is what happened a company gave away santa phone # they thought it was fake but it was not it was a military command post # and all the kids called it all around the world they got so many calls they made a Santa tracker since the military has satellite bases they can track Santa your kid can even call there # and talk to some one about it they made a whole separate company for this and they will tell him what the real Santa is doing then you can explain that your school just wanted to celebrate it like every other day but to rest assure that the military tracks Santa all year long and and he is real other wise they cannot track him if he was not how could they and once again he can call the Santa hot line listed on the website and if he tracks him on the website he will know he is real by the way the real Santa takes off from the north pole in 15 days just go look at the tracker

I have a problem with the school that my step daughters go to also. Unfortunately it is not a Santa problem. If you as a parent cannot trust the school that your child is attending, then I would move to a different district. Santa is and always has been portrayed as a male, and he has a wife. I feel that the school your child attends is absolutely ignorant. On the other hand though, if you want to get politically correct about the situation (I'm not a big advocate of political correctness) it could have been "Holiday Clause" or Tranny Clause", wherefore it wouldn't matter anyway. My 12 year old step-daughter cannot do math on paper or in her head because they make them use calculators for every assignment, which is absolutely ridiculous. Also one time last year the students had to do an assignment using magazine clippings to make a collage. One magazine in particular was a full out, no holds barred lesson on breast augmentation, complete with pictures. Ridiculous, however I am only their stepfather. In your case I'd either attend the school board meetings or make the school a public joke about the situation. Santa is a male and also the best father figure to all of us when we are young enough not to know better.

They should have made it Mrs. Claus, and said that Santa was double booked so Mrs. Claus had to do the pictures at his school. Now that the Santa secret is out you should tell him that Santa actually lived several hundred or so years ago, and now special helpers continue his tradition of spreading joy to children on Christmas, basically that Santa sold out to the corporate world and with today's laws the helper in the suit can be a woman because the corporate world can't discriminate or prevent a person from getting the job position because of their gender. Hello 21st century; go take him to see the three wise men in Mexico if anything you'd both enjoy the trip to Mexico.

You know, there comes this moment in every Mother's Life where they will go through any means to keep the Santa Dream Alive! I don't know if I would be mad at the school, but he is only 4 so you could probably smooth this one over. I like what that guy up there said. Who cares about Political Correctness, this is my child's dreams we are messing with! She is going to grow up one day and realize how hard real life is, but for now, I want her just to be Happy! Good Luck to You and Your Son!

I'd be livid! Then, I would explain that she must have been an elf because the real Santa is in the North Pole making his toys---you have to recover--then--take him to see a good Santa at the mall of or something.

And yes--keep asking for your money back. They shouldn't ahve taken his mmoney b/c it soudns like he didn't want his picture made anyway! I'd be writing a letter to the head of the school system.

I'm all about girl power, but let's face it--Santa is a man!!!

Ok...I know I am going to catch hell for this...but I feel the same way with black santa. The legend of Santa Claus was base upon a real person in northern europe (one of the baltic states..but not sure). So, to have images of a black santa for the purpose of diversity I feel is a travesty to the legend of SC. Black angels I can understand, Santa Claus is the one I cannot.

poor little soul and I think the guy that was a huge help in finding the POS should be known as a hero..............as for the shyt that did this I hope the judge gets to KNOW that he did not stop, he was making EVERY effort to hide any marks on his car and was already under a court order to NOT drive........... feel for the family but at least they can have some sort of closure knowing this pos has been caught. NOW the country needs to do right by them and make sure he does NOT get away with it, after all he was ding his damnedest to escape,.

Why not just tell the child the truth about Christmas? Why poison his brain with the santa myth to begin with?
