I always hear it's better than white rice, but is it really that healthy - in moderation, of course...

I know that brown rice tastes good, I have been eating for awhile :), i just wondered if it really was better for me since it tasted so good! Thanks!

Yes, much healthier than white rice. Like white bread and wheat bread. More fiber, nutrients, etc.

White rice is soothing for an upset stomach.

Brown rice short grain is healthy for you per macrobiotic websites.

its better than white rice because white rice has startch which is harmfull in a long term, but as for brown rice I don't know if its healthier.

i've heard that rice in general is good for you... especially the brown rice... of course it also depends what you eat with or how you cook that rice. I do like my stir frys!!! :)

white rice is bleached to get white, and also brown rice contains more fibre, so its better for you than white rice

because its a "whole grain" the entire grain..more nutrients and fiber...and like you said, in moderation

yes.. it is healthier because it is whole grain and has less starch, which will turn to sugars and can lead to excess fat
