In a hospital, we don't consider a temperature to be a fever until it reaches 100.4. Your temperature of 100.7 is considered low grade. If it gets higher in the next day, you need to go to a doctor to figure out the source of your fever. Fever is the body's way to try to self-heal -- basically the body tries to "cook" the germs that are causing your infection. The one symptom that strikes concern in my mind is your stiff neck. This is a symptom of meningitis. It could also be part of your just feeling miserable from a cold or flu.
As far as the other advice listed here - sure. If you just want to drop your temperature, tylenol, rest, cool rags, etc will help you out. Just don't mask your symptom too much - if the problem persists go to a walk in clinic, doctor, or an emergency room to get treatment for the source of your fever.

These people may not be professionals (and I'm not either) but their advice is sound. Take some Tylenol. That's what the doctor will tell you as well, although if you beg, he'll write a prescription for Acetominophen (the stuff in Tylenol) and charge you 40 bucks.
Tylenol is the best. You can get Tylenol with decongestants in them also.
Lots of sleep helps. Warm soup does wonders.
And for the fever, the tylenol will help too. You can also put a cold washcloth on your forehead or take a cold shower/ice bath. But I wouldn't recommend the bath unless your fever is 102+.

Yes you'll have seizures at 106 however now not consistently. If a individual has 106 deg of fever sure they might be so in poor health as not to keep in mind what had long gone on for the duration of the maximum time of ailment. I'm sorry you feel yukky. Take a dose of Tylenol and drink some hot tea. Wear a t-shirt and just undies to bed and only cover up enough to keep the chills off. Use a pillow to support your neck and if you start vomiting or your fever increases over 101, then call the doctor or visit a walk-in clinic. You might have signs of strep throat and they will test you for that. If you have an infection of some sort, antibiotics will help. Good luck.

I am a professional human being. I have experience with illness. It sounds like you have the FLU. This may take a few days to pass, it may actually get a little worse before it gets better. You sould drink lots of fluids. Take some Tylenol to reduce the fever. REST as much as you body needs and call your doctor if symtoms worsen to the point where your uncomfortable (temp getting too high, severe sore throat) consult a physician.

Well for one, your fever is considered low grade. This is what I do, and I will do tonight because I'm sick too. Take a nice hot shower, take some ibuprofen, rub vics mentholatum on your neck and throat and put a warmed towel on and go to bed. I also drink hot tea with lemon and honey. I agree with you..... I hate colds and winter also. Hopefully both you and I will wake up tomorrow and be better. Good Luck!! Dont forget the tea!

Take some painkillers, rest, eat comfort foods like chicken noodle soup. Wrap a moisted towel on your forehead but keep the rest of your body warm. There's nothing you can really do except to wait for your immune system to fight the cold away for you. Eating some vitamins, fruits, and vegtables may also prove helpful
