yes they will remember you. I have been away from dogs a lot longer than that and they have remembered me.

It depends on the dog. I have a Chinese Pug, and was away for a half of a year. He stayed with my parents for the duration of my absence. When I arrived home, he acted as if I never left. Dogs have a VERY well evolved olefactory sense. If you walk into a McDonalds, you smell a Big Mac. If your dog walks in, they smell two all beef patties, pickles, lettuce, onion and special sauce on a sesame seed bun. It doesn't matter if you change perfume, that is only one of many things a K9 smells. They know what YOU smell like. If they associate that smell with happiness, then you should be just fine.

Yes, I have seen it happen. My son has a dog that he adopted and he knows someone who adopted the sibling dogs. After a year, they all got together and the dogs seemed to recognize the others who were very close before they were separated. The same was true when my friend moved out west and came back to live with his parents. He took his dog with him and then returned home to his parents place where the dogs of both had resided. They were thrilled to see one another.

Dogs usually remember people very well because of their smell. But it depends how long you have had the dogs. When you go home don't wear any perfume just in case.

In the mythic tale "The Odyssey", Ulysses returns home from war, while suitors are vying for the affections of his wife. Nobody has seen Ulysses in years, and to top things off, he disguises himself as an old man to make sure nobody (including his own wife) recognizes him. He performs a skill that only the great Ulysses could do, and eventually wins the hand of his wife once again. The entire time, nobody knew who he was, except for his dog, who recognized him the moment he saw his master again.

Unless they were tiny puppies when you left, they should remember you! If one of them kind of ignores you it might be a bit of shock, but yes they will remember you even if you have changed your perfume. Just don't rush at them, let them come to you and you will notice that spark of recognition..

Yes you dog will remember you, just as you do them. I only see a friends little Pop about twice e a year and she remembers me. Your odor and your love is always present.

your dog will recall your scent and the tone of your voice for starters. It takes a dog about five years to forget things. Your dogs will be happy to see you - they will recognize your unique odor not your perfume.
