You know; the sweet stuff. Everything tastes like chemical sugar to me. Too much fake butter taste and salt too! What's best?

Make your own. Just put 2 Tbsp oil in a big pot like a dutch oven and heat on medium. When hot add 1/3 cup popcorn kernels (regular, not microwave) put the lid on and shake until you smell popcorn and the pops have slowed to 2 seconds between pops.

(you melted 1/4 cup butter and have measured 1/2 tsp salt and 2tsp sugar, right?)

Pour the popped corn out into a bowl, drizzle with butter, sprinkle salt and sugar and toss to coat

Make this family fav, and you'll never go back to the other stuff again! White sugar makes the Kettle Corn taste like popcorn balls. Use brown sugar and it will taste like caramel corn.

Kettle Corn

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS
Place the popcorn and sugar in a large pot (with lid) with vegetable oil. Over a medium heat, begin to pop the popcorn. Constantly shake the pot to ensure that the popcorn kernels and oil do not burn. Once the popping has slowed, remove the pot from heat.

I don't like the MW kettle corn for the exact reasons you mentioned! I just get it at crafts fairs and flea markets! Sorry
