Even if man originated in Africa and spread from there all over the world, he found a moire congenial atmosphere to develop both physically and psychologically and culturally in Asia what with the salubrous climate. Culture developed earlier there and with it came the various religious currents. As the Indians proudly claim that at the time when great emperors were ruling over it England was habitated by savages still wearing skins for clothes. This gave the Asian a headstart. The Americas and Australia are too recent to expect any original thinking about religion. Africa which was the birthplace of man has also remained in cultural darkness though the eariest religious thoughts was perhaps born in Egypt(Mishra as was then known) but it was swamped by Roman conquests. These are historical accidents and do not indicate any inherent merits or demerits. In fact the belief in Science which is a gift of the West is currently the religion of all the world eclipsing all the other religions.

People's populations started and grew in Asian regions. That's as far as the recorded history is concerned. It is not necessary however, that it all started there. Some discoveries show a more ancient history in the Americas.
