If it's a short-term illness just wait until your child is better. Christmas decorations can wait a week while you wait for your child to get better. If your child has a chronic illness and therefore waiting wouldn't help, then if it's a baby just put the baby in a sling or front pack to do it. If it's a toddler or older, just do it when he or she is asleep or if that doesn't work give him or her some books and put the child in the same room with you so he/she doesn't get lonely.

You don't I have a 2 year old and last time she got sick there was one of us comforting her at all times and one of us cleaning up after her. Christmas decorations can wait you actually don't even need them really take care of that baby.

You dont. Take care of your baby and save the decorating for later. You could try recruiting family members to help too.

If you can't fit the decorating in while the baby is resting then skip the decorations. Whats more important?

While your lil one is awake, you tend to their every need. Once they are asleep, then do whatever it is you can around the house. Dont neglect them when their sick and awake. Its assuring to them to know that your there for them when they dont feel good.
