ive been slapped round the face by my GF..i dont think i deserved it!. think something inside me has turned off. sam h is closest i think.. :(

Only in extreme circumstances - if they were hysterical or something similar.
If the slap comes from hate rather than love then no and you know it. There will be a lot of answers on here saying 'he's abusing you - get out'. But we all know that we've all put up with a modicum of violence from our partners - whether its throwing a cushion or shouting or a slap. If its just a slap and it's just once then you need to talk about why it happened. And ensure it never, ever happens again. If it does then you go, straight away and you don'tlook back.

It's a criminal offence.
Also, if you slap someone, doesn't that demonstrate that you don't love them?
People talk about love as if it's just some daft Hollywood- type feeling.
Well sorry, but it's not. If you love someone you will act in their best interests, no matter how bad you feel.
Love isn't something you FEEL, it's something you DO.
If there is violence in your relationship you need either serious help or a way out.

My ex wife and I were in the middle of our divorce but she still cared very much for me and I for her. As a newly liberated single man I began partying all the time. One night she came by and I was in the middle of binging on a night of cocaine and alcohol. She was surprised. The next day she came by to check up on me and I was still binging. She slapped the sh it out of me, and because of my gentle nature, I understood why and I didnt think of slapping her back.

I've slapped my ex girlfriend before. She used to cut herself every time she got upset. One time she started cutting herself because I didn't go up to bed at the same time she did, I told her to stop but she kept cutting herself so I slapped her. I don't regret it and I'd do it again in a second. Self harmers are real hard work.

Never ever, if your not able to express yourself verbally and have to resort to violence then it reflects on his or her ability to communicate effectively. What would she say if you slapped her?
Seriously, the amount of domestic violence perpetrated by the female partner is increasing and this could lead to increased level of violence.
