Well, it does take about a week for the sores to start healing, what I do, and yes, it hurts, but does help the pain for a while. I get some hydrogen peroxide, and take a small mouthful and swish it around for a bit, concentrating on the sore, then spit it out and rinse with water to get the taste out of my mouth. It burns, but after a minute the pain dulls enough to help. I also heard that a beer will help with the sores, something about the yeast in it. Try to avoid citric, like pineapples, oranges, etc. Good luck!

Dang, that sucks. I know how much it hurts.
Canker sores usually take 7-10 days to heal, I'm afraid.

get some grapefruit seed extract...
pill form or liquid
(put the liquid in water....tastes BAD though)
i get pill form
