cookies with chocolate chips or with m&m's

I like to make choc chip cookies with choco chips and with all those new chips out there. I add m&m's to my peanut butter cookies either by adding them in or placing a few ontop before I bake them

Chocolate Chip Cookies


The Recipe

Ingredients


1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (necessary)
2 Tbsps. unsalted butter
1/4 cup light cream cheese
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsps. brown sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsps. sugar
1 large egg
1 egg (white)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
Preheat oven to temperature 375°F. Sift together flour, baking soda
and salt in a mixing bowl. Set aside. Melt butter in a small
saucepan over low heat. Cook butter 30-60 seconds tilting the pan
occasionally until butter turns nutty brown. Pour butter in a large
mixing bowl. Add cream cheese and both sugars. Beat with electric
mixer until smooth. Add egg, egg white and vanilla. Beat until
mixture is mixed thoroughly. Transfer flour mixture and chocolate
chips to egg and sugar mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until just
combined. Drop heaping tablespoons of batter 2 inch apart on
cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with nonstick
cooking spray. Bake 12-15 minutes or until cookies are
golden. Let cool on racks.

Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Prep: 20 min., Bake: 10 min. per batch

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels
1/2 (12-ounce) package milk chocolate morsels

Beat butter and sugars at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; gradually add eggs and vanilla, beating well.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Stir in pecans and chocolate morsels.

Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.

Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden; remove to wire racks to cool.

Yield: Makes 4 dozen

I'd say, follow the recipie on the back of the bag of chocolate chips!

Follow the directions on the back of the Toll House chocolate chips...........it's really the best........BUT and don't tell anyone........double the vanilla - 2 tsp. instead of 1 tsp.
