quarrels, danger of disease, decreasing wealth, gaining an evil reputation, indecent exposure, and ruining one's intelligence."
Digha Nikaya 31.

Buddha never tired of sharing that every action produces consequences. Drinking alcohol may give some pleasure in the moment, but getting drunk always leads to those 6 unfortunate outcomes !!
Does this mean that a Buddhist never drinks a little alcohol occasionally ? No. Only Monks and Nuns can never drink alcohol.
Each person must ask him or herself this question: "What does this alcohol do to my mindfulness ? (how does it affect my thinking ? do I ever become irrational, impatient, or irritable ? Do I still, while drinking, think completely rationally and intelligently and demonstrate love and compassion and understanding toward others) ?

Can I drink alcohol and continue to be very alert ? or does it negatively affect my thought processes and emotions ?

What Would (put your name here) Do ?

BUDDHA was a fat overfed spoiled pig who is laughing at you in ghost form right now for following him. The same goes for schizophrenic Jesus who is still in his 2000 year old straight jacket in ghost form of course. And Mohamed what can i say about him apart from an illiterate camel shagger?
