Christians believe Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life. nobody comes to the father but by me.

Most other religions believe only theirs is the correct choice.

Now given the number of religions over the history of the world this leaves a lot more people wrong than what would be right, if any atall was to be 'right'.

So that means theres currently a lot more souls burning away in the bowels of hell than the small number of people who are now residing in heaven.

So my question is, if god loves you so much why does he send most of you to hell?

A lot of your answers refer to jesus and the bible....

Don't forget that christianity has only been around for 2000 years.

Every religion believes that theirs is the only right one and every other one is wrong.

Therefore the only logical solution is that they're all wrong.

All religion is just made up myth and superstition.

All religion is not wrong. Those religions which deny you the freedom to have your own method of reaching the Truth are wrong. All the organized religions like the Semitic religions have taken out your freedom to think and choose. But Hinduism has even given the freedom to be an agnostic and still continue as a strong Hindu. It is the least organized and that is its strength.

I guess I think of religion as wrong because it can become an empty following of rules and not a relationship with God.

I think that's why Jesus often railed against the Pharisees.

But I'm a Christian and I believe following Jesus is all about relationship and your thoughts and motivations that will produce good actions.

My way of coping with this is -
God loves us and has compassion and mercy on all who turn to him. I believe that at the point of death we all meet Jesus and have the opportunity to see that he is real and he is the way and to therefore turn to him.
If you read the bible - go to Matthew chapter 25, verses 31 to 46. This is Jesus telling a parable of how God will judge us. Here it isnt what people believe that saves them, but that they fed the hungry, clothed the naked, looked after the sick etc etc.
Elsewhere Jesus tells his followers that they called him Lord, Lord but he will say he didnt know them because their actions didnt match up with their beliefs. In fact, Jesus' teaching in the bible is far more demanding of those who follow him than those of other faiths who act according to his laws of Love - ie loving their neighbour.
When asked which is the greatest command Jesus said "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: love your neighbour as yourself. All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22, verse 37-40)
All the main religions have this Golden Rule - so if behaviour is anything to go by - and Jesus had alot to say about right behaviour - then those who live by this, whatever their philosophy are doing OK.
However - I DO believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father and so, believing that God loves everyone and wants no-one to burn in hell, then there must be the opportunity to meet him and stand before his judgment when we die.
It's Jesus who gets us into heaven, not our efforts.

As far as I know, there are no 'Bad' religions, and therefore, they cannot be 'Wrong.'

What is 'not good' is what people do with their religions, how they 'claim' an Authority that their belief gives them over others.

This argument just goes on an on ~ There's no Answer to whatever question is set ~ which cannot be countered by another argument / claim.

It would be a grand idea if each followed their religion without beating the heads and backs of their neighbours, while letting them get on with their own.

The alternative, in the name of God, is to thumb their noses at each other ....like a bunch of schoolchildren.

You ask: is all religion wrong?

The answer to your ??? is "NO", below is how you tell "false from True" Religion.

What is false religion?

Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.

False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?

False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul of spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?

False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?

How to identify true religion.

True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.

True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible

True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”

True Religion is available, search for it.

The context, or guidelines, of what is written is, I would say, on the whole 'right' to be a 'good' animal.
The wrong bit is when the human animal starts to believe the afterlife fiction as actually true.

Religion is sweet for those who like to give power away, and struggle to take control of ur life. The rest of us use the powers within ourself given by mother nature and will not be going to heven or hell.

We are what me make of ouselfs

There are no winners or losers, just people following one belief system or another, hoping they are correct. If proof was available and obvious, we would have no need for belief . We would have instead `fact systems`. Christians do not enjoy facts, they are happy with belief.

It's a Punishment. If Your parents love you so much why do they punish you by, for example, taking away your pocket money or something? Why would God put us on this Earth, Let us disobey him, and then reward us for our ungrateful behaviour? This life is like a test for us, if we pass, we are rewarded with eternal life in paradise, if we fail, we are sent to hell to get our punishment.
