The easiest way is to replace the habit with something else. A lot of people twiddle pens/pencils between their fingers. It takes a lot of practice, which is something you have time for when forming a habit, and while it has no obvious benefit it improves the flexibility of the fingers and makes for an entertaining performance if you get really good. There is a variety of techniques you can learn and best of all it causes no damage to the pen/pencil. The slightly more advanced relation to this skill is the circus performances with poi and/or staff, so if you are interested in making money from your attempt at curing your nervous habit, that is an option you may consider.
Good luck.

Seriously you should look into ways to get rid of some of your anxiety. I think you should get on some meds. They really may help.

Aside from Medication, you could find something constructive to do with your hands to preoccupy them.

BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION. Psycho analyst. Hypnosis, accupuncture. Replace the habit with a good one. Like folding clothes. Maybe 'OCD'. Research it on the net.
