Ok i can see where you are comming from! You like a girl so much that you don't want her to think that you are stupid so you just don't talk at all! I know it is scary, but just be yourself! Trust me there was a guy and he didn't talk to me at all so i didn't get to know what he was like, it is better to be your self because even if you say something stupid she will feel the same way! Just act like she is your best friend!

Ok I am a girl and just make small talk like how do you think
you did on the test or something about school. Personally I think you should just ask her out. But do a lot more flirting first.

Basically just ask probing questions about interests to find out where common ground is. If you find that there is something you both agree upon, conversation comes naturally.

Considering your situation, you may want to befriend one of her friends and garner any information you can about her interests from them. Then you can go research them if need be, so you can know about them and feel more comfortable discussing them. You wouldn't want to overdo this as you come across as fake...well basically because you WOULD be fake. You only want to create a foot in the door, so limit this approach to two, maybe three subjects. Once you have established a foothold, you will be more comfortable and able to converse with her better.

Just make sure your questions are open ended. For example, don't ask if she likes music, ask her what music she likes. Then you get something to work with other than "yeah" or "yes." Hit on subjects where a common interest is sure to appear, such as particular teachers, classes, TV shows, music, etc.

Beyond that, try to remove yourself from the situation...act as if you were an actor playing a part...removing emotion from the situation as that is what is going to screw you up the most. In fact, you'll find this approach works well in many areas of life, the ol' "fake it till ya make it" approach.

Anyhow, good luck and remember...10 years from now these social situations in high school will be a complete joke to you. The downfalls, stumbling areas, etc. will be but a memory. So test out different things and don't be afraid to screw up...because you'll need the practice for college :)

Take it easy man.

For the most part, we like to talk, and talk and talk, and we love to be listened to. Break the ice and ask her questions about her self, but be sincere, don't come across as though you're conducting an interview. Throw in a few answers of your own and let her talk some more. Soon, you won't feel as though you you have to freeze up and you'll have plenty to ahem, say.

What you can do is talk about if you have seen a good movie lately. You should start by practicing in the mirror or you should go up to her and get to know if you have lots of things in common. The best way to impress a girl is by being a kind, nice gentleman. Best Wishes!

Getting the other person to do most of the talking, is the key to making yourself look like a charming or concerned person. Make them feel like they have something interesting to say or do.
That should give you, eventually, a reason to give a compliment or two, now and then.
As for getting the other person to talk more, start by asking small, uncomplicated questions which are not too Freudian or sexual.

for the most part girls like to talk, find out what she likes and direct the conversation toward that, then just agree or disagree with her. also tell her about the things your into. She more than likely fills the same at times, It's hard to carry a conversation though, so your input would be very helpfull...

Have you considered hanging out together in a group setting? Invite her with sometime when you are doing something with your friends. With other people around, you aren't as pressured to find something to say, and they can help keep a conversation going if you do get tounge-tied.
Good luck!

Most girls know that guys have a hard time communicating (or at least they should!).
So start of simple: "I really like you." "Do you know how pretty you are?" "Wanna grab a soda?" " I really would like to take you on a date." "I really hope you like me." "I'm just wondering if we like the same music/movies."

If you absolutely can not say a thing, give her a single flower next time you pass her by.
