i am only getting to know the guy i fancy this past week or 2 and ive known him for 3 years,and i really like him!
its cus he was shy now he is more open! we text and msn
what do i do to let him know i like him and find out if he feels the same,and id like to leave my friends out of this,better doing it myself.
and when should i tell him? please answer

and i have complimented him alot but i heard guys can be quite dosey to notice lol

Don't show him what you feel about him not if he didn't show you nothing. Sometimes guys tend to be so strong about their feelings that they do everything to make you run after them and then when they find out they hurt you. Leave everything to happen alone. When its time he will find out alone or maybe if he feels something about you he will tell you.
And yes, leave your friends out of this. Don't try to get to him by using your friends or ask your friend's help. An advice is always welcome but nothing more. Solve it step by step. You will arrive where you want to.
