I guess I left a similar answer to a similar question posted a couple weeks ago...

It helps to find a purpose in life. What you want to do to make yourself happy... and moreover, to make others happy and share the joy, so to speak.

Note that the above doesn't have to be pure altruism. I get almost egotistically joyful when I help out others, I'll admit that. Hell, I'm getting egotistically joyful right now while giving out advice. ;-)

Also, treat yourself to something once in a while. Write down a list of things you really really enjoy, and when permissible, partake in one of those things. Again, not to excess, since many of them, at least if you're anything like me, are unhealthy. ;-)

One last thing... if you have tried all personal interventions and still feel down all the time, you could have deeper psychological issues and might want to talk to a psych therapist about your situation. Sometimes, the therapist might send you to a psychiatrist for medication, if s/he believes that you have a real biological problem behind your mood.

Of course, medication (IMO) is the last line in treating a bad mood... it is only for those people who have intervened in all other ways and have decided, with their clinicians, that their problem is neurological and not (just) social. So do not self-medicate yourself, aside from the occasional drink or two. I said OCCASIONAL DRINK OR TWO. =D

By telling the bad feelings the good feelings are gonna kick thier butt!!! :::::smile::::: it helps me!
Try getting into more comedy and re-evaulate the people that are in your life, maybe they are too negative and you need happier people. Focus on what you do have and not what you do not!
Cheers!
Good Luck!

Get the endorphins going. Excersise, stare at Christmas tree lights. Sip some wine, explore yourself. ;)
