I have panic attacks in my sleep as well as trouble sleeping.
I have been taking klonopin for 2 years now.. 1mg at bedtime and it has worked GREAT and as long as you take it as directed then you will be OK. It is true that it habit forming but as long as its used correctly then you are going to be OK.
I was taking 2.5 mg per day.. some during the day and 1mg at night and I weaned off of it during the day and I was fine with it, no problems at all.
Good Luck!

I was having panic attacks a few years ago and my doctor prescribed me the same thing. I was told to take one every time I started to have a panic attack and it made me feel like a zombie and very irritated with EVERYTHING right after I took it. I felt like I was going to sleep right at my desk about 3 minutes after I took one. But, it did stop my panic attacks. I stopped taking them though because I was usually having panic attacks at work, and I didn't want to be a zombie at work. But, if it's for sleeping, I can assure you that it will put you to sleep! Hope that answer helps a little bit.

It is safe (I'm assuming you're at a relatively normal dosage) but if you take it every night you will become addicted. Just physically addicted, you won't turn into a homeless junkie (unless you have a history of addiction) that just means that if you run out or stop taking it cold-turkey you'll be in for a VERY uncomfortable night. If you decide to go off of the Klonopin talk to your doctor and you can safely taper off of it.

Yes. I take it. Klonopin (Clonazepam) is an anti-convulsive and anti-anxiety med, but it is very effective for sleep. It can be habit forming but only if used in high doses over a relatively long period of time. You can be "weaned" off of it when you are ready. It is safe, don't worry.

maybe
I didn't like it, its a VERY powerful drug
try AMBIEN if you can get it. Its gentle and low or no side effects.
You can't drink beer if you take it though.
And it is sort of addictive. I took it for a year and it took a difficult week to get off of it. Some people go into rehab to get off it too. I got a full year of sleeping EVERY night straight through. That helped me heal. If I didn't like beer so much I would still choose AMBIEN. Its a good drug.

It is addictive and does have some side effects....Your doctor must have other reasons for prescribing it other than just for sleep....Just for sleep there are a lot of other medications that are not as dangerous and dependent....Why don't you try Melatonin 6 mg. (you can buy it over the counter in the vitamin and herb department),.. It really works for me....

Do you take it every night or just when needed? I really don't believe it is very habit forming or your doctor wouldn't have prescribed it for you.

Our doctor's use .25mg for sleep. However they may prefer to use Rozerem mainly for sleep if that is all the person is diagnosed with and is not addictive like Klonopin

Safe to take up to 4 mg, at higher doses you risk addiction.
