He's potty trained, I mean I take him out every hour or so, but he still marks his territory in the house. He pees on the corner of the couch, and the corner of the dishwasher. Any suggestions as to how to get him to stop?

There is no such thing as a teacup anything. Crate your dog and disipline him when you catch him in the act!!!

A good question posed by others is whether your dog is fixed or not. Though fixing is not a guarantee it could hep the situation.

Secondly, attach a 5-6 foot leash toa body harness on your dog and attach it to your belt..so the dog goes wherever you go...if you see if start to try and go correct the behavior with a spray bottle of water or take it straight out to it's correct potty area. Do not scream NO at it. Reserve the NO word for a time like it's running out into traffic and you really mean it.

Also, whatever has been marked or becomes marked needs to be cleaned with a cleaner that breaks down enzymes not just your ordinary house cleaner. Try Orange TKO or Nature's Miracle. I prefer Orange TKO because it's made from oranges and I have no concerns about the dogs encourtering areas just cleaned.

if you have to take a dog out every hour then the dog has medical problems.. dogs should be able to hold it much longer...are you going out with him and rewarding him everytime??

he needs to be neutered

there is no such thing as a teacup pom... your dog is a runt or a dog stunted by poor breeding or poor nutrition

Male dogs tend to do this. Have him neutered. This will curb the activity and prevent future problems like cancer. Have a nice holiday.

Until you neuter him, you can try a doggie diaper to protect your furniture and carpets. I use them on my little male sharpei for potty training. They say that they are also for incontinence or marking. I found mine at http://www.puddlestoppers.com

Good luck!!

If hes not fixed get him fixed! Neutering usually solves almost all marking problems with males.

Is he NEUTERED?

If not GET him that way, PRONTO! That should at least slow down this 'marking' behavior.
