I am afraid they will not be punished as severely as we would all like to see under the law. Given that, I think their names should be disclosed, their pictures shown everywhere, so that even if they don't go to jail, they will never be accepted by society. What they did must not be forgotten!

Cruelty of this nature needs a more stringent application of law. If that had happened here in the Bay Area, only a maximum of 4 years in prison would be allowed. Cruelty such as this merits a much longer term and involuntary commitment to a mental facility.

Sounds like a couple of budding serial killers. Children will possibly be next. I would hope there would be a stiff sentence on this that would be punitive and therapeutic, like some hardcore Juvie time followed by a few years of community service maybe helping to rescue animals and therapy to come to terms with how horrible what they did actually was. If that is even possible.

If true, then these kids need locking up for a very long time.
It's time we stopped trying to re-habilitate. It doesn't work.
Punishment is what is neede nowadays. And by God these two need punishing.
Time to throw away the Political Correctness book away. Manners and the difference between right and wrong are what are needed in schools and in homes. And it's well over-due that this needs doing.

Just reading that made me cry. People are so sick and twisted. I truely hope those kids get more then a slap on the wrist. If they are minors, their parents should be punished for raising such cruel, cold children. If they are not minors they should get jail time and be forbidden to own any animal.

They are on trial. I'm curious as to what the outcome will be. Many states have anti-cruelty to animal laws, but the penalties may not be as severe as some may wish. Be thankful they are not your relatives. They are another example of why abortion should be kept legal. Where the hell are their parents???

Sick Freaks! That is animal abuse! They should go to jail for life because of doing that and for threatening to kill the children! Death sentence maybe. (but that might be too humane for two cold-blooded killers like that) > : (

Restrain and bake the teenage boys, in public, over a fire-pit, then donate their bodies to the local humane society to feed the dogs with.
I have always said that people need to get licenses to get dogs, as many people who get ahold of dogs should never be allowed a fish.

Animal mutilation is one of the first signs of a serial killer. If it were up to me, those 2 little punks would NEVER see another day.
