So why do people who are not homosexual believe that homosexuals "choose" that lifestyle? seriously think about it why would anyone want their family and friends to hate them and condemn them -YOU CANNOT CHOOSE WHO YOU ARE-please let that sink into your mind..PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL( even to the fundamentalistsand wack jobs)

Each to there own. is my theory..
Be good, work hard. Play even harder.

I enjoy my life. i don't see anything wrong with homosexuals enjoying life, or for that matter any religion other belief or idea out and about in the world. .

As long as people dont go out of there way to attack me on my own beliefs, i dont see the need to defend or attack back in defence. it comes down to Respecting others.. even for there choices in Religion or partners or what car they drive.

So in short I'm fine.

Do people stop and make that consideration before they murder someone? Take up drugs? Choose a boyf or girlf they know their parents wont like? Tell lies? Choose a job they know they arent going to be happy in? Choose a color car? Eat spicy food they know is going to hurt later?

Your assumption is rather naive in that it assumes people always make the best choices that will ensure their well-being and make their family and friends respect them the most and we all know that isnt true. We make choices based partially indeed on who we are as people, where we've been in life, where we are @ now, and where we are going.

So how do you explain your theory to people that have come out of homosexuality? What do you tell people that are experimenting with it? What do you tell people that go both ways as a rule? The evidence suggests people do indeed exercise their choice in the matter. It is partially based on who they are as are ALL OUR DECISIONS IN LIFE.

However, regardless of whether or not people are born that way, regardless of whether or not it is self-destruvtice behavior, God has already ruled on the issue. Im sorry, you may have been "born a murderer, homosexual, feces-eater, animal lover (pysically), wife-beater" but God has already warned us that these things are wrong and should not be done regardless of how we persoanally feel about them no matter how much we feel those evil things are a part of us.

As what someone you would probably call a fundamentalist I would have to say that of course they don't necessarily choose it. All evidence seems to be that it's developmental. Look at the inordinately high statistics of homosexual men who had been molested. As far as morality goes, who cares if it's chosen or not. Unlike homosexuality there is direct evidence of a genetic link to alcoholism. Because the person is genetically predisposed to alcoholism does that make it acceptable for him to be one. Men are more aggressive than women, does that make it alright for men to be violent, they didn't necessarily choose to be more aggressive, so no one should be able to judge whatever they do with that aggression. You don't get morality by looking at the way something is, only by what it ought to be. The difference between principled self restraint and doing what comes naturally is known as civilization.

Why do people choose to be homosexual? I'll tell you. Everyone loves to be a victim or the standout. The attention, the dismissal of adverse behavior, the praise, the great unity within a minority, a certain novelty of it all. These are some of the few reasons (among many) why someone would choose and abnormal and in most cultures, unacceptable, lifestyle.

I see your point, but you argument is flawed.

Why are there kids that live in a Conservative neighborhood choose to be Gothic Punk, even though they risk scorn and ridicule from the neighbors?...because they chose to.

So, is homosexuality a genetic disorder or a choice? I can see a fight happening here....

I have a friend who claims herself that she "chose" to be where she is with her sexual preference. Her words and I quote were " I am more comfortable with women because of the nurture factor" She say she still thinks guys are cute but gets better "treatment" with the same sex.
But as far as others go...I do not know. I worked with a guy who knew he was born that way...Each of our lives are our own to live...I have too much of my own stuff to worry with than someone elses to judge them. I am not perfect either. To each his own who cares. Not everyone hates you just hear from them more often than not! Peace to you to....Have a good day!

This is not a religious question. It could have been posted in the correct category. Now instead, you'll be barraged with 'hate' answers, sarcastic answers, people who, like myself, don't give much of a hoot.
