we have two oranges WITH PEELINGS ON.
Orange A is placed into a container of water.
Orange B is left on the counter, in the same room.

after one week has past, which orange will be juicier. A or B

I think the one in the water should soak up water and be preserved somewhat. The one on the counter will ripen more but could also start to rot.

I can Guarantee you that the orange in the liquid (A) will have more moisture in it because the liquid around it will act as a barrier to the air, air helps evaporation, therefor A will at the least "dry out slower". in fact it may become juicier then before it was placed into the liquid, the peelings are porous so they may suck some moisture in. my suggestion; take a pitcher, put some oranges in it, fill it with water, let it sit for a few days and try it out. good luck

Orange B
Orange A will lose its juice to the water through osmosis.

Im hazarding a guess that its orange B. Maybe I am wrong but I would imagine orange A would be mouldy and nasty. Correct me if Im wrong

A will be juicer but not able to eat, may also have some uncalled guest on that.
B will not be there someone might have ate that.

I'm going to say the one in the water. I don't know why I thought that. I guess I'll to experiment with that myself.

the orange which is in the water remains jucier because the osmosis ocurs in it . it soaks water . and the other one is start to rot.
