these knots are common, take the dog to the Vet and let them remove them safely. These knots sometimes bleed a lot and the Vet will have the stuff to stop the flow.

take him/ her to the vet hair dressers , and get the thing buzzed. The hair will grow back rapidly and start brushing the dog like I brush my teeth. every day 2 -3 times per day . you would have knots just like that if you didn't brush your hair . Right?

I totally agree with the groomer (answerer number 1)

also...when the hair grows in, remember the best preventative is daily combing/brushing since you know the problem exists.

I am a groomer and I would suggest that if you can't cut them off with scissors without cutting the skin then you can shave them off with shears.

Please take your dog to a professional groomer and have him groomed. Mats close to the skin are painful and uncomfortable for your dog. Please do not try and remove them with scissors as you can seriously injure your dog.
