Yea, the terrorists have had their plots to attack the US disrupted and foiled every time since 9/11.
Thats because we are killing them left and right, disrupting their networks overseas. But the liberals plan for fighting terrorists isn't to KILL them.
The liberals plan to fight terrorists: give them LAWYERS!

I would love to have the asker of this question as a boot.
Fear is a powerful weapon.
You want to stop terrorists completely scare the terrorism out of them. This is the theory of the war on terror. More than first strike or controlling their home grounds. Scare the proverbial Sh it out of them.
Now, you want the Reality?
Some big army moves into your back yard hunting your neighbors friends and family, what are you going to do?
Just like the rest of us. Protect them!
Hide them, then find some way to draw off the hunters.
The Liberals and the Conservatives both would defend those they love.
What is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan is just, that.
You want to draw off an army you have to make that army want to defend their own.
So, Don't think for a minute that the US is "relatively safe" We are Not safe! Some Zealot gets a hold of a dirty nuke and gets it into your back yard, there will be a whole new style of combat. Don't think for a minute that some liberal wont push a button as fast as some conservative.
Get off the soap box and March with the rest of the battalion.
We are in this for the long haul and we have one choice. WIN!

The USA has always been safe from outside threats, however, its the inside threats (like those that carried out 911) that we must worry about. Are you really going to sit there and tell me that it is just a coincidence that the man that owned building 7 took out an insurance plan to cover terrorists attacks just months before 911, and you actually believe that falling debris actually brought building 7 down. If you do your stupidity makes my head hurt.

Not in the USA, no. But the amount of terrorist attacks (against Western targets) has increased throughout the world.
America has been feverishly reinventing and reinforcing their security measures. As a result, the security of our citizens is considerably better; this is due to these measures, not because the terrorists "got the message."
And I'll guess that you're nervous whenever you fly, or see an unattended package or a suspicious person. Why, if you're so sure they've "gotten the message."

Well thank goodness the USA is "safe".
Instead of killing Americans here, your President decided to ship thousands of them directly to the source. Now here's a guy who understands supply and demand!
Soldiers and Sailors are Americans too. And insurgents are terrorists.
America is being attacked every day. Soldiers die every day. Just because it didn't happen on American soil, doesn't mean we are "safe" now.

The likelihood of attacks is even higher then it was before the war, nothing positive has come from the war. The only big change I see in the country, is the widespread violation of constitutional rights in the name of homeland security and the increase of ignorant conservatives running around saying that war is a good thing.

Coincidence? Perhaps not, but I would not be so knee-jerk in giving the Bush administration too much credit.
Every day, tens of thousands of containers enter our ports UN-INSPECTED. That's just a disaster waiting to happen.
Remember that terrorists are willing to "lay low" for a long time, planning their next move, getting infiltrated into a system or area. They're more in it for the long haul than some measly 4-year president.
The Bush administration is like a horse with blinders and they scare the living hell out of me ~ more so than the terrorists.

Just because we got two supporters doesn't mean terrorists aren't going to carry their plans out. If there are terrorists in the US they aren't going to loose their heads, and attack something just because a few supporters were raided.
