I'm in a new relationship, very new and very unstable. Neither he nor I have room for alot of stuff and he already has it all anyway except a laptop, and the relationship is too new for that. I suspect he'll drop a load of money on me and I don't want to be cheap. I don't want to do boring stuff like socks and I actually want something that can go under the tree so no sex answers please. He's ex-marine, loves to travel, loves music and movies, dresses well, and doesn't drink too much so liquor will be unappreciated. What can I give him that is not crazy or stupid or boring that won't scare him and make him run out the door, but I don't want the same old gift that all guys get. He already has an i-pod and all the extras for it, a portable dvd player, etc... I'm completely clueless. HELP PLEASE!

OK, this might be going a bit, buy how about some lavender!

Lavender is an herb that was used by many cultures over the centuries for a number of things: health aids, medicine, culinary, soap & body care, crafts and other items. The lavender lemon aid seems to be a very big hit with some people. The web site listed gives history about lavender and has some interesting products. I have used the culinary packages as gifts for others as well and they seem to go over well. I also use the hydrosols that they sell for an aftershave.

I have tried a number of things over the years and have learned to enjoy the sent and taste of lavender.

PS: I am also an old marine (never an ex-marine).

Good Luck

well , he looks like has it all , but for sure there are things that he still need or want " it's just you don't know what it is due to the short time period" so the best solution for this is a gift certificate : http://goodmanzone.tripod.com has options for gift certificates , then he can buy whatever he likes. that site has many ideas for Christmas gifts

Buy him a masculine type music box that plays his favorite song. If you can't find one with favorite song, have one custom made. Obviously you will have enough money to do so.
(humm an ex-marine? maybe "Onward Christian Soldier" or "America the Beautiful" etc.

...Has it all already? well if he likes music and the relationship is unstable----a c/d about a love gone wrong. If that is too harsh---cologne(one you like),Movie pass, gift card,or a wallet. If he drops a lot on you for Christmas, you go girl.If he's a ex marine --does he camp?---camping gear is on sale in the winter.(drop him if he's already had a wife)..........................Remember--NEW&UNSTEADY.(save your money)
