I grew up in America, but my family dragged me back when I was a teenager. I'm a good student, with lots of awards and a pretty good resume. I want to go to the US for college, but the problem is, I have no money. (No money, as in barely enough for my ticket to get there.) So I'm wondering, is it possible? Can I get into a good school? This is really important for me, if anyone could answer, I'd be very, very grateful.

If you have EXCELLENT SAT SCORES, that will help.

If you apply for a LOT of scholarships, that will help.

If you get rich quick, that will def. help.

If you write a great essay on your application, that will help.

if you play an instrument, you could get tution from the music dept.

If you have good grades, good activivities, you can DEF get in.

you can always take out a loan, and then flee the country when u cant pay it back, be a fugitive. (not recomended)

You are going to have to work hard to save money or do a study abroad program. Getting into college is easy, but if you are not a citizen expect to pay about twice as much as an in state student would pay. Also, there is the matter of obtaining a school visa- you must be screened and approved for it, and you must also show that you have money to live on while you are here. This is usually in the thousands range, as the school visa is not a work visa- and you can get into trouble working without a visa if you are caught. You will have to get in touch with the college/university that you want to go to. Each school has it's own requirements for international admissions. If you lived in America, and are an American citizen, it should be a little easier for you to get into a decent school, since you won't have to go through the Visa processing
