I say it depends on your ages and how long you have been together.
But I for one would enjoy sweet things like a poem and being with my girlfriend more then a material gift.

well did u ask him what he wants cause my man everytime we out he throws lil hints about wat he wants for christmas he wants these ugly azz boots but im gonna get them cause thats what he wants and dont break ya self check ya budget and go on from there is materialistic what does he like cause men dont like sweet they want xbox butt and clothes

well my boyfriend is OBSESSED with cars and ps2. so try a game or something for his car..or something at the mall? thats what my bf likes so i dont know.
