feel a bit tingely . legs feel not only numb, like nothing is thier to support my body as I walk, they feel like Im going to fall- by the way this woman is in her 70's and she had geomberay syndrom in her younger days and also has a touch of arthritis in her spine. Also the skin that covers her ankles and feet feel very very tight, like they have been burnt or sretched tight but it has not, its a mystery?

She needs to go to the DR! For starters she sounds like she is retaining water/ fluid, which will cause the tightness.

Two seperate issue's. She is pinching a nerve in her lower back and/or sciatic nerve. This causes the tingly/numb feeling and the leg giving out. An MRI will be necessary and surgery is a real possibility. As far as the ankle bit, she is retaining water and wil need to be prescribed a diuretic to reduce water retention in the lower extremities. Watching salt intake and moderate walking will help also.

Sounds like a few nerves are pinched in her/your back. MRI could tell you what is going on inside your back. Are the legs swollen or big?
