what are some tips to eat better when i'm eating socially. thanks for the answers.

You just have to maintain your integrity. Believe me, I know it's hard. You can just order something healthy (or specially prepped) or bring food with you. I usually keep a healthy meal and snacks in a cooler in my trunk. Sure it's kind of a hassel, but when you have a shredded 6-pack and they don't want to take their shirts off to get in a pool it's all worth it. Not to mention the positive effects on your health lol.

This used to happen to me. The problem with eating socially is that a healthy food choice isn't always offered. If it is, by all means order or eat that. What I have found I do that works for me is that if I'm in someone's home eating or at a party I'll just eat smaller portions of what everyone else is eating. It's at times hard to do, but not impossible. If I'm in a restaurant with others, I'll ask for a to-go box at the beginning of the meal, portion my meal in two, and put one half in the box and close it. Then I just eat the half that's left on my plate. Helps me eat less.

OMG I am totally the same way! Stay in the house he he he! I would suggest portion control if you all go out to a place with nothing healthy on the menu, and only ordering healthy stuff when it is available. It's all about will power!
