Just don't be an overbearing wonk about yr religious beliefs and us atheists won't have a problem getting in the spirit of Christmas. After all, it's a pagan festival you guys co-opted for marketing purposes, so you really shouldn't get too worked up about it.

And if Jesus is the son of God, who's God's father?

you dont just let people do as they please and dont force your religion on people as they are more than likely to take offence to it especially me. I do have the christmas spirit but you do not need to believe in jesus as the son of god. Other than the bible do you have any evidence that they even existed? and come on an emaculate conception of mary who would believe in that? Personally you should not force your religion no other people as that can actuall file a complain with the police. Christmas spirit is not from believing in jesus or god or any thing like that is about having fun and spending time with your family. Any way christians hijacked christmas from the pagans as it was part of the winter solstice. Jesus was alldgely born in April and the christians just say it is december to save face for stealing christmas from the pagans. To all aon yahoo answers Happy christmas and have a brill new year. oh and remember to drink responsibly. lol (ive drunk to much all ready)

Well, if you're saying that the Christmas spirit is the spirit of giving, then those who don't believe in Jesus as the Son of God should not take offense. But if they do take offense in that, then nothing can be done, because everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Don't! The christmas spirit is still out there whether it is for the right reasons or not. The three stoned men who followed that star that night on supposidly 25Dec got it way wrong. A few months wrong. Merry Christmas everybody!

Keep it simple. If you are celebrating x-mas with a none believer, just keep it simple. Don't push the Christian beliefs in Jesus, Son Of God or his birth on them. But go ahead and put out your Christian decorations and maybe a Christian x-mas card to them is enough. Just them being in the presence of a believer can bring a touch of warmth and love from god. You as a believer carry the light in that shines bright and goes out freely to all

Well, I am the ONLY one in my family that celebrates Channukah where as everyone else does Christmas. What I want is for a general sence of family togetherness not necessarily Chrismassy or birth of Jesus themes. I believe in a holiday spirit in which we can all get together in acceptance and love. What ever you do, please don;t teach them about Jesus, it's kind of rude.

Its easy - haven't you heard of the Atheists for Jesus movement? Being full of christmas cheer is easy, especially since the holiday is originally a pagan celebration of the winter solstice and absolutely nothing to do with Jesus who I understand was Born around april time?

Have a very merry Christmas.

I took out the Christianity from Christmas, and it's much more worth it now. Call it "Celebrating Life". It's between the 25th of Dcember and the 1st of January, so it's not exactly Christams in any case, but it still has me wanting presents (to give and to get).

Go to your town centre at 6pm on Christmas Eve and stand outside Marke & Sparks. Shout your message as loud as you can until 6 pm on Boxing Day. Someone is bound to get the message and you will have spent the entire period giving; after all, it is better to give than receive.

Islam, Judaism believe in jesus. Muslims love Jesus. Other faith's respect jesus. Since we were children, we used to recite hymns and celebrate christmas in schools. No person of the Islamic faith or such, have ever had a problem with christmas. This idea of being offended by christmas is politics. Christmas cards, traditions are shared among the faiths...but the prejudice people are succeeding in destroying that. We must remain steadfast...
