I look up to Amma the most because She shows me how to be humble, to be more loving, to be of service to humanity, to let all situations be an opportunity to grow, to not think, speak or act with harm towards another, and to think of others before myself.

Who inspires and influences you the most causing you to change for the better because of the example they are?

Prophet Muhammad off course since he was the best of mankind

after him Omar bin Khattab the 2nd Caliph of Muslims

after him is Saladin

I look at these 3 men as a hierarchy that I`m trying to climb one by one until I reach the top (which is prophet Muhammad)

but I chose Saladin to be the base of my hierarchy of role models because he is more known to the non-Muslims & latter in history than the 2 previous him even though he is less greater than both

He also represents the true face of Islam as a religion of tolerance but one of the heroes in the past so it`s important for all Muslims I think to be influenced with this great man

I have different friends that I look up to for different reasons. Some because they don't let men/romantic relationships rule their lives, some because they are extremely intelligent, some because they are more carefree than me. I have never really had an older female role model. My mom was a stay at home mom, and then a teacher, and I don't want to be either of those. I love my mom of course, but I don't want to do what she does so I don't look up to her that way.

No one. I look within myself to be the best I can be. I dont' find many people out there, who are worth enough to draw inspiration from.

I don't look to anyone in particular, because no one is perfect. I try to look up to many different people, and learn what I can from each of them. I look up to Marie Leveaux for her spiritual and voodoo powers, my mother for her tolerance, generousity, and strength, my best friends LeAnn and Barb and Kim, my boss for her independence and success, my mother-in-law for her artistic and creative ability.

I think putting people up on pedestals is a mistake. I think that there are great people out there, but you should think twice before idolizing them because believe it or not, they are human.
