He can't get any dirt on him, freaks out if any thing goes near his dinner(Including his food getting mixed up together) and he has to tear toilet paper from the roll in strips of six sheets. Is anybody else a wierdo.?

Hope you don't call your husband a weirdo. I realize I won't get chosen as a best answer for this one, which I don't care about, but just because you have OCD doesn't mean you're a weirdo. It's a chemical imbalance in your brain that you can't help.

I have OCD...everything has to be in three's for me. I have to check the door 3 times, my alarm clock, I get stuck in patterns of other things by doing them 3 times.

My advice, be supportive, don't think of him as a weirdo.

Yes it can certainly be a form of OCD in fact i also know someone who is obsessed with cleaning and cleans her house when it's already spick and span! OCD can manifest itself in many people, and in different ways, so yeah she could have OCD. But it's nothing to really worry about unless it is bothering her of course. Maybe you should talk to her about it. Try to take her out and get her away from cleaning. If shes reluctant to stop cleaning and do other stuff then she must have OCD bad. Help her. She's not a freak. It's a very common disorder. I in fact had it myself, but it is easily treatable. You've just got to break the habit.

i hate when my food touches, i don't like for my thighs to touch when i sleep, i also don't like anything near my food that does not belong. none of these qualifies as OCD, they're just quirks. i do the tissue thing but slightly different, i put 2 sheets in the toilet before i go to prevent splash. ok, so it's weird to some, but still not OCD. it's a germ thing for me.

I am pretty particular about my meals too and some of that could be considered pretty normal. The 6 sheets bit though that is ritualistic and a classic sign of OCD. Honestly though he isn't harming anyone though right? just a little kooky.

He may not have OCD. He may be paranoid or have Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder. Some people just have weird tendancies. I don't think I would necessarily call my own husband a weirdo, though.

Everybody has some strange things wrong with them. However, you can help your husband by reminding him about the dirt and food fetishes and pointing out that he is being alittle unreasonable, without makingheim seem stupid or insane.

Please do not catagorise your husband as "a wierdo". You should be giving him all the support he needs with his OCD. My own son had OCD for many years before I recognised it for what it was. Please consult your GP who can direct you to the right specialist who can help.

I think your hustband just has a few foibles, not OCD - don't diagnose people with things and label them, unless you are a psychologist.
