i'm a senior in high school and i'm doing my final project for my photo class. the theme for my project is "closer" or the desire/longing for intimacy. i've kinda figured out what kind of pictures to take but i'm running short on ideas. any advice on other photo ideas and maybe creative ways to present the pictures?

If you create a free account and upload pictures to www.ofoto.com you can create a hardbound book with your pictures in it. They come in different sizes, colors, and arrangements. I believe the cheapest one is about $10. That's what I did for my final photo project. Some of the other people bought those frames that you can get from places like Target and Kohl's that have multiple slots for pictures of different sizes. If you go at the right time you can find those fairly inexpensive as well.

Good luck on your project!

I would consider your subject and subjects. If your doing people I would think about how much will be available on the giving idea you want. If doing people I would hit the city and take pictures of people all day. By the end of the day you can weed them out for the given theme.

hemes involving people are by far the best. People are more interested in seeing people or things they can relate to than say artistic fields, trees etc. So keep in mind you want the subject interesting, very interesting. Also if you can give off a feel from the photos it is great. Like you get strong impressions from looking at some pictures.

Anyway here is a link to many prof photographer series.

What would be really cool is if a guy stands behind you in front of a big mirror, and he is reflected on the mirror. But he's not in the shot. You stand in front of him, and you see your own body in the picture (not just your reflection). You reach out with one arm, and his reflection reaches to grab it.
It's kinda hard to explain, but take the photo in black & white, and get someone else to snap the picture. Amazing.
